The Hozhoni Art Studio is one of the most advanced art programs for artists with developmental disabilities. This acclaimed program allows individuals to experience themselves differently through expressive modalities, develop appropriate social skills, increase communication abilities, and foster self-awareness through art. The Expressive Arts Therapy Program promotes creativity and imagination while reinforcing all the skills supported through the Day Program.

The Hozhoni staff members in this area are all artists themselves. They provide guidance and do not interfere with the consumer's creativity. The goal of the program is to allow the consumer a creative outlet that gives them pride and enhances their self-esteem. Hozhoni's art program provides visual arts experiences in drawing, filmmaking, painting, pottery, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, and wood and leather carving, as well as experiences in movement and drama.
